Meet The Connemara Ponies at Jedforest Deer & Farm Park

Connemara ponies are a hardy pony native to the west coast of Ireland.

They descended from stallions, which swam ashore from the wrecked Spanish Armada!

Mostly grey in colour, Connemara ponies make an ideal child's pony, with great movement and jumping ability. They are a proud upstanding pony with lots of intelligence and agility.

A herd of Connemara mares with their own stallion have been established here. They run free in a natural environment, giving the foals a sense of well being and unity within a "wild" herd.
